Do you know about the Internet Archive. I mean, beyond a cursory awareness?
In the video below, William Gallagher (very nice fellow I’ve taken workshops with), scrapes just a bit below the surface of a very large hill to explain how writers — for one example — can use this tool for topical research; how readers can leverage another source of free online books; and how everyone can blissfully find hours have gone by while they explore their favorite rabbit holes.
BTW: William Gallagher has tons of YouTube videos at 58Keys. Some are for writers who are Mac-based, but many are of general interest to writers. Gallagher is himself a screenwriter, journalist, and essayist.
