We congratulate Pamela Kleibrink Thompson, author of The Horse Who Wanted to Fly, for being a finalist in the Western Writers of America Spur Awards, which will be presented on June 20.
We’d previously highlighted this beautifully illustrated children’s book last fall.
The book, suitable for 3- to 10-year-olds, tells the real life history behind that Currier & Ives illustration of a horse pulling a buggy and “flying” as all four hooves are off the ground.
It can be purchased through links on the author’s website.
