Shakespeare in Sandpoint!

What can we say about Shakespeare’s work that hasn’t already been said? Except, perhaps, that it is ofttimes better heard than read. At least to our contemporary ears. But what language! What characters!

On Saturday, August 21, Montana Shakespeare in the Parks will present a FREE production of Cymbeline.

  • Where: Sandpoint’s beautiful and shady Lakeview Park
  • Time: 6 p.m.

The gates will open at 3:00 pm, with the play starting at 6 pm. People are encouraged to arrive early with lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics to spend time with friends and neighbors, and to enjoy this year’s pre-play performances, particularly our latest collaboration, Sandpoint’s Celebration of Arts & Culture, featuring music and song by students of the Music Conservatory of Sandpoint and a plein aire painting event sponsored by POAC.

Thanks to Idaho’s Lost Horse Press for hosting.

Inkers Con : for authors

Through the good people at BookBrush we’ve just learned about an all-online, open-internationally conference conducted over three weeks (July 17 – August 2). For a single price (payable in two installments) their digital conference allows viewing of all 26 online presentations! Digital attendees will have three years to access the content. Attendees will receive membership in the exclusive Facebook group, have access to live Q&As, and can host or participate in attendee-led roundtable discussions.

Topics lean toward author-support and business with several live-chat-with-author sessions.

Do you have a writing routine? Where and when do you write?

I have a corner office in my home and write there but I have a laptop computer so I can write anywhere and have often. I don’t have a set schedule any more, I used to, but now I write whenever I can get a chance to sit down. I try to write something every day.
